Covid 19 FAQs

What To Expect at PhysMed During the COVID-19 Outbreak

Many of our patients have expressed serious concerns about going out for any reason in the current pandemic. Please do not wait to get treatment based on any apprehension about the safety of our facilities.

Your recovery and your overall health is still our priority. This fact has not changed as we implement additional procedures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

PhysMed is still open, and our facilities are still well-supplied and sanitary. We provide essential services under every definition of the term, and we are taking every conceivable precaution to keep you safe during the COVID-19 outbreak.

How do I know if it is safe to go somewhere?

Across the world, people are staying home in quarantine or self-isolation. Many are working from home as well. This has led to a general fear of going outside, but you should not let that stop you from getting the care you need.

Official recommendations suggest that people go out only for essential activities. Getting care for your injury is one of those essential activities. You can rest assured that everyone who works at PhsyMed has been thoroughly trained on how to prevent the spread of this disease.

How does coronavirus spread?

According to the latest available information, the main way that the novel coronavirus spreads is through exhaled respiratory droplets from infected, symptomatic individuals. One might inhale these directly, or otherwise inhale them via touching a contaminated surface and making subsequent hand-to-face contact without implementing the proper sanitary procedure.

The virus does not seem to transmit as efficiently as other respiratory infections, namely in that it is unlikely that pre-symptomatic people would spread the disease. As an additional precaution, we have requested all PhysMed employees to quarantine themselves at home and get tested immediately if they display any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19.

How serious is COVID-19?

We take the current outbreak very seriously at PhysMed. There is no doubt that infection with the novel coronavirus leads to respiratory infection with serious symptoms.

We are fully committed to controlling the spread of this virus. Your health is our first priority.

Does PhysMed treat people infected with COVID-19?

We treat patients who have sustained injuries after being involved in an auto accident. We do not have the equipment to treat infectious respiratory diseases.

Because of this, our facilities are among the safest places you could be in this type of situation. We are medical professionals who understand the risks of this disease, but our offices are not a place where people come when ill.

Our patients come here only for support in recovering from their injuries. We have also requested that anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 seek more information and care about that condition at an appropriate healthcare provider.

Is PhysMed safe?

To summarize: PhysMed is a safe place to come during this outbreak. Furthermore, our facilities are safer than many other essential services, if only due to the fact that we are medical professionals who understand and properly implement the methods necessary to control the spread of this virus.
