Center for Physical Medicine

PhysMed is an injury, pain, and chiropractic clinic serving a large area of Western Florida communities. We help patients from Fort Myers to Tampa at our modern, well-equipped chiropractic treatment centers.

We are always accepting new patients. Please contact us directly to set up an appointment and get medical advice about your specific condition. For more general information, please feel free to read a little bit about us here on this page.

Our Philosophy

We believe in using non-invasive options that treat the underlying causes of troublesome symptoms, such as pain or reduced mobility. This is a major departure from many other clinics, which are willing to recommend surgeries, prescription painkillers, and other potentially risky therapies earlier than necessary. By trying the less invasive options first, such as chiropractic care and physical therapy, we are often able to reduce both the risk and the cost of injury treatment.

Service Focus

We handle multiple types of injuries in the musculoskeletal system. Our particular focus is on auto injuries, but we also handle various other related and nonrelated conditions:

  • Chronic neck, back, or head pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Degenerative disc disease

We provide a variety of in-clinic services, such as chiropractic, physical therapy, and joint injections. For specialist services, such as surgery, we typically refer our patients to a member of our trusted network of care providers.

Setting Up an Appointment

The best way to set up an appointment would be to call our office at (941) 921-4884 and speak to our office staff. Our staff members might ask you a few brief questions in order to pair you with the correct consultant for your initial visit, but you will only have to share the details with your physician. Also, please feel free to contact us over email, via the webform or, if it is convenient for you, simply stop by one of our clinics and make an appointment in person.

Payment Methods

If you are paying a portion of your expenses out of pocket, we accept most major forms of payment. That includes checks, cash, and credit or debit cards. We also accept many major insurance companies, and we would be happy to submit paperwork on your behalf. If you would like specific information about insurance compatibility before you make your appointment, please have your card ready when you call so we can confirm that we are in your network.

Insurance Information

The information in the section above regarding payment methods refers to health insurance. If your injuries are due to an auto accident in Florida, you may also use personal injury protection insurance. We are familiar with this type of liability coverage, and we would be happy to provide more information on this topic. However, you should know that Florida law provides you only 14 days after your accident to seek medical attention in order to qualify for this type of insurance.

If you have other questions about our services, philosophy, or our practice, please do not hesitate to ask. Call us today at (941) 921-4884 for appointments, inquiries, and information.
