PhysMED focuses on providing high-quality care with a transparent billing policy. If you are paying a portion of your expenses out of pocket, we accept most major forms of payment, including checks, cash, and credit or debit cards.
Please Note: While we accept all Auto Insurance and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) policies, PhysMED does not accept traditional health insurance. Our specialized clinicals are designed specifically for the unique diagnostic, treatment, documentation, and billing needs of auto accident recovery, which standard health insurance plans are not structured to support.
Insurance Information: The Florida PIP Requirement
In the state of Florida, your auto insurance is your primary coverage for accident-related injuries. Under Florida’s "No-Fault" statutes, your Personal Injury Protection (PIP) is the default primary payer for your medical treatment, regardless of who caused the accident. The 14-Day Rule: Time is of the essence. Florida law requires you to seek medical attention within 14 days of your auto accident to qualify for PIP benefits. Failure to seek treatment within this window may result in a total loss of your insurance coverage for the accident.
